I have not taken an American history class for a looong time. This is what I remember about James K. Polk:
He was the dark horse candidate in 1844. He won, making him the eleventh president. He was president during the Mexican American war. Because we got a lot of land from that war, I'm going to go with A) Manifest Destiny. But I'm not sure if it's that or the Whig Party. I do not remember what party he was at all.
I don't understand why this is a question for me. . .
Well good job, you got it right (manifest destiny). If you had answered your phone last night at 11:50pm your time, you would have been able to help me win 500,000 dollars with that little bit of information. You were my lifeline for American History. Now we know that you know what we thought you knew.
