| My tech | Stephanie's tech |
My nail tech, Twee, said my feet were "actually pretty good" compared to other first timers, despite callouses formed over 30+ years.
(Stephanie's tech reminded me of the girls at the nail salon in that Seinfeld episode where Elaine suspects the nail techs of making jokes about her in Korean.)
Unfortunately we didn't take any "before" pictures, but below are a few "during" and "after" pictures.
Here's my recollection of the process:
Step 1: First you soak your feet in the little jetted tub at the foot of the recliner (not pictured)
Step 2: Then she clipped my nails:

Step 3: Then she worked on the callouses:

These are callous remnants:

Step 4: There were a few other steps, I mainly remember there were some oils and massaging involved...
Step 5: At the end she soaked my feet in parafin wax to make them soft. She said "like a baby's bottom".

Step 6: I declined the hot pink nail polish, or even the shiny clear, but I acquiesced finally and allowed her to put on the "not as shiny" clear polish.
Here's the finished product:
